1 person hurt following single-vehicle crash in Chippewa County

BLOOMER, Wis. (WEAU) – One person is hurt following a single-vehicle crash in Chippewa County.
On Nov. 17, 2024, at 4:53 p.m., the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-vehicle crash, and the vehicle was on fire in Bloomer, Wis.
According to a press release from the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to find that a truck was West bound on South Highway 64 when the truck left the roadway and collided with multiple trees and became engulfed in flames.
The press release says the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was removed from the vehicle with the help of a passerby.
The driver was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The crash is under investigation.
