JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – A teen is dead following a farming incident in Jackson County.
According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, on Oct. 2, 2024, at about 6:00 p.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the Town of Manchester on a report of a person hurt while farming.
Authorities arrived to find a 13-year-old who had been submerged by crops.
The teen was removed from the crops and taken from the scene for further medical treatment, the press release says.
The teen was later pronounced dead.
