However, as fun-loving as the couple is, their roots are firmly placed in the realm of sports. Thus, even when in vacation mode, the duo just cannot keep themselves from associating with sports.
In his recent Instagram story dated January 10, 2025, the NFL star Jonathan Owens posted pictures from their in-game attendance at the Madison Square Garden. Apparently, the duo are currently experiencing the thrill of the NBA as the New York Knicks and the Oklahoma Thunders are fighting it out among themselves. Posting a picture together, Jonathan Owens captioned the Instagram story, “Date Night.”
Both Owens and Biles looked quite stylish in their outfits. The NFL star donned a white t-shirt over which he had a full-sleeved chequered shirt with unique motifs. Owens completed his look with a silver chain around his neck and a pair of shredded denims. On the contrary, the gymnastics GOAT went for a minimalist look. Biles could be seen wearing a black leather jacket over a black round-neck t-shirt. Owens also posted an incredible three-pointer from Oklahoma, that made the entire arena cheer with joy.

Earlier, it was Simone Biles who was excitedly posting about their recent outing. She started off by posting an Instagram story while sitting on the plane, sipping on her favorite cocktail. Biles captioned the story, “I love traveling W/ you.” Next up, she posted another picture of enjoying a sumptuous dinner with her beloved husband, Jonathan Owens. And that was not all! Biles kept posting updates from their New York itinerary as she dropped a ramen date story at about 12:58 am on January 10, 2025.
With the couple calling it a day temporarily, Biles had themselves captured next at their bougie suite’s restroom. This was followed by a brunch date and a mirror selfie at a NY store from Biles, the exact location of which remains unknown. Well, having quite a blast together, the duo seems to be getting a much-needed respite from their usual busy schedules. After all, ever since the two have been married, most of the time, Biles and Owens have carried out a long-distance relationship.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens tied the knot on April 22, 2023. However, soon after their marriage, the couple drifted apart thanks to their utterly hectic schedule. While Jonathan Owens had his duties for the Green Bay Packers, Biles was busy preparing herself for the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024. Thus, the athletes seldom had time to spend together. Despite feeling sad staying apart, the duo always found time out for each other and met frequently. Sometimes, it was Owens who would come down to Biles.

On other occasions, it would be the US gymnastics queen who would take the flight to cheer for Owens at the NBA games. However, it was expected that after the Paris games, the duo would be able to finally get together. But alas! Biles had her commitment to the Gold Over America Tour, which kept her occupied for several months. Thankfully, the duo have finally found time for each other and are sticking to their loved ones now.
In fact, looking to spend quality time together, Biles and Owens decided to spend the 2024 Christmas alone without getting their family into the mix. “Honestly, since my husband and I got married we’ve been doing long-distance. After the Olympics and my tour, I would say the highlight has been spending quality time with him for the first time in the longest time since we’ve been married,” Biles stated in an interaction with E! News. Thus, with things looking rosy for Biles and Owens, it remains to be seen, what more new updates does the duo come up with in the future.
