Months After Historic Triumph, Tara Davis Woodhall Reveals Iconic Nickname for Prize Possession: ‘Don’t Mind’

It has already been 90 days since Tara Davis-Woodhall claimed the Olympic gold in Paris. But she has yet to put a stop to her celebration. However, she has a justified reason. The French capital has earned her two gold medals, not just one. How? Just weeks after her accomplishment, her husband, Hunter Woodhall, doubled the fun with snagging another in the Paralympics. And since then, the power couple has been taking the world by storm with their iconic presence and story-making. Want to explore how?
Recently, Tara Davis-Woodhall joined the GQ Rodeo Event with Hunter Woodhall to match up the occasion. However, the revealing moment came later when Tara had her surprise ready. Through sharing an Instagram story, she let the world know about a ritual and it is about keeping the name of her Olympic medal. That’s exceptional, though! However, in the caption of the story, she disclosed, “Don’t mind Phillipe, he’s been on a 3 month tour. He is about to hibernate for winter.” So the name is Phillipe. But what about the hibernating part? Isn’t the couple on a tour?

In fact, Tara and Hunter entered the GQ Rodeo Event as part of their tour. They also posed in front of the cameras wearing denim cowboy-inspired fits. Tara put a cherry on top by adding a cowgirl hat, red bandana, and gold cowgirl boots to her dress code. But in her Instagram story, the long jumper hinted at finishing the fun tour and sending the medal to hibernate for the upcoming season. So, is there something cooking behind the scenes?
Well, the answer is perhaps in Hunter’s recently shared YouTube video. How? On November 10, the Paralympian uploaded a video to share the updates regarding the upcoming track and field sports season. In the video, he can be seen breaking sweat in his first training session after the Paris Paralympics. Meanwhile, in the video, he explains the details of his practice regime. “Today I’m running one of the hardest workouts in track and field, especially the hardest workout on the very first day, 3100s, 30 seconds. However long it takes you to get down and say 15 seconds, the rest of 30 seconds is your rest. If you make it 15, you rest for 15, so that 30 times,” he lays out. However, Tara is someone who prefers to head to a joint training session. That indicates that the power couple is now looking forward to warming themselves up for the upcoming track and field sports season. And who does not know that they have already shifted to Kansas, eyeing to continue their training schedule under coach Travis Geopfert?
Yes, Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter have their spikes ready to race for another Olympics and Paralympics edition. As this time it will be in LA, an added motivation is acting on them. However, the Paris Olympics’ fever is not over yet. Tara’s latest ritual claims that. But how was her journey in the bustling French metropolis? How had she been introduced to Philippe?

Tara Davis-Woodhall perfectly knows how to break traditions
On August 9 this year, Tara Davis-Woodhall may have known the data. It says that between the 1948 London Olympics and the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the US women had five medals. Among those, three came from Jackie Joyner-Kersee alone. She also brought the only gold in the event, that too, in the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Therefore, to snag the gold, Tara had to fight with history. However, the Texan knew exactly what to do in the warm evening of Paris.
On the runway, Tara Davis-Woodhall had to break tradition. She had to include the audience in the sport by channeling her energy into them. Usually, athletes do that by clapping. But Tara did something extra. She never left the 80,000 seat feeling cold during her turns of jumping. She waved at them thoroughly. Her hand gestures accompanied her shouts. All she wanted was a vocal stand behind her. Did she have it?

Yes, the athlete did. The audience felt life every time Tara appeared on the runway to make her jump. And can you guess the result of the game? Tara defeated the defending champion, Malaika Mihambo. And she made a humongous jump of 7.10. After a brutal loss in the Tokyo Olympics, this time Tara Davis-Woodhall claimed her prize. Now you know the name of that prize as well!
