“Passed Out”: Matthew Stafford’s Wife Kelly Shares Concerning Health Update After Rams’ Loss to Seahawks

What’s going through Matthew Stafford’s mind right now? Is he over the moon because the Rams clawed their way into the playoffs, or biting his nails over the fact they’re the lowest-scoring team to get there? And let’s not forget Sunday’s flop against the Seahawks to close out the regular season. But the real drama wasn’t on the field—it was in the stands. Turns out, Stafford’s wife, Kelly, passed out during the game. And no, it wasn’t because of the numbers on the board.
Kelly broke the news herself on Instagram, sharing that scary moment. The QB’s wife shared the link to The Morning After Media podcast in her story as she talked about her health concerns. It seems the regular season has ended, and flu season has begun for Stafford girls. “I can’t think straight, I currently believe I have the flu. Two of my daughters have the flu and I wasn’t able to move yesterday at the game,” Kelly said during her podcast. “So I passed out on a little bench in the suite.” And the Rams lost with 25-30 to the Seahawks. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound. In this case, talk about taking a cold shower when you’re already shivering.
Besides Kelly, two of her daughters, Tyler (4) and Chandler (7) also have flu. Thankfully, Kelly had the pediatrician stop by to check on her daughters, and that’s when she found out they had the flu. “We had like all of our friends in town and I was a real Downer,” Kelly continued. “But turns out had a pediatrician come over and Chandler has the flu, which makes me think Tyler had the flu and still has it.”

Anyway, the Stafford girls are fighting the flu very well and now Kelly is all focused on the postseason. And why wouldn’t she? I mean, the Stafford family needs to be there to cheer for the Rams, especially for Matthew Stafford. “Anyway we’re going to move on because the playoff picture is set and what a playoff it’s going to be,” she further said.
Matthew Stafford ends the regular season with a loss
What a poor way to end your regular season in front of over 72,000, that too at your home. It’s not a New Year gift the Rams fans have expected. But hey, that loss can be compensated, considering a solid comeback from this Los Angeles team from 1-4 to 10-7. And now here they’re into the playoffs with the number 4 seed against their name.
For Rams, Jimmy Garoppolo, started his first game of the season in the absence of Stafford. The 33-year-old veteran led the passing yards for 334 yards while racking up 2 TD and 1 interception. Still, the team felt short by 5 to Geno Smith’s 20 completions out of 27 for 223 yards while racking up 4 TDs. And as they slipped to the 4th seed, the Rams were fully unaware of their opposition in the wild-card round. Would that be the Vikings or the Lions? They had no clue.
And when asked Sean McVay about this, he simply stated, “We respect all, but we fear none.” Looked like they didn’t care who they would play next Monday night at SoFi Stadium. And after a few hours of wait, it’s the Vikings (14-3) who slipped to number 5 seed after losing to the Lions and now all set to clash against Matthew Stafford and Co.
