A Barnegat-based developer has opened an affordable housing lottery for Cornerstone at Hainesport, a 72-unit, income-restricted apartment complex located along Creek Road in Hainesport.
Applications will be accepted through Oct. 16, with the drawing scheduled for Oct. 29.
The first building is expected to be ready for occupancy in January 2026.
The development, being constructed by the Walters company, will consist of six buildings offering one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with individual entrances.
All units will be set aside for families earning 60% or less of the area’s median income, with rental rates based on renters’ gross annual income.
The apartments will feature open floor plans, upgraded interior finishes, and in-unit washers and dryers.
Community amenities include a fitness center, a tot lot, a basketball court, and a clubhouse with computer workstations. A social service coordinator will be available upon request.
The development was designed by Donovan Architects.
Joe Del Duca, partner and director of affordable housing for Walters, said he was proud what the new development will offer tenants.
“Families will have access to high-quality, affordable homes in a prime location, surrounded by the resources and conveniences they need to thrive,” Del Duca said.
