Syracuse, N.Y. – An anonymous tip came in last weekend about a bag left on the Onondaga Creekwalk.
Syracuse police responded to the creekwalk Sept. 13, according to Sgt. Thomas Blake, a police spokesperson.
Officers found a double-bagged, black trash bag with flies surrounding it, Blake said. Inside, police found a clear plastic bag holding a five-gallon bucket containing what looked like internal organs, he said.
The Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the organs were not human but belonged to an animal, he said.
