ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS — At first glance, the new North American headquarters for Samsung Electronics looks more like an all-inclusive resort than a place for work.
The 321,000-square-foot facility at 700 Sylvan Ave. in Englewood Cliffs features a cafeteria, a fitness center, a grocery store and even an arcade exclusively for the roughly 1,200 employees at the site. Elsewhere, a sprawling office area boasts various types of workspaces for lively, team-oriented activities as well as quiet individual work.
The setup, at the former home of Unilever, was part of Samsung leadership’s vision to foster more collaboration among workers and is already earning rave reviews from workers after only a few weeks.
