President Donald Trump tapped former Housing and Urban Development Secretary as a senior national advisor for Nutrition, Health and Housing at the to Make America Healthy Again (MAHA).
Carson, who is a retired neurosurgeon, said the MAHA movement is crucial right now because of the “massive” amounts of unhealthy conditions in the U.S., including obesity, mental health issues, as well as the “explosion” of autism.
Carson said autism cases recently increased from 1 in 4,000 to 10,000, to 1 in 36.
