ST. CLOUD NEWS – Marina health events the lead-in to fall and Halloween

Her Health, Her Voice—A Women’s Health and Wellness Luncheon takes place on Friday, Oct. 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (doors open at 10 a.m.) at the St. Cloud Marina Banquet Hall. The topics are Breaking the Silence and Building Wellness. There will be two expert health and wellness panels, as well as breast cancer screening onsite, vendors and wellness activities. Also at the Marina hall, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the City of St. Cloud, in partnership with Orlando Health presents a Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. RSVP by Friday, Oct. 17 at https://webtrac.stcloudfl.gov/webtrac/web/splash.html. Historic Downtown St. Cloud is ready to celebrate the fall season. Scarecrow Fest, a scarecrow display competition, takes place on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. Enjoy exploring downtown businesses that will have a variety of photo opportunities with scarecrow themes. You will also be able to vote for your favorite business’s display.
The Economic Development Department of the City of St. Cloud is hosting a Community Resource Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Cloud Community Center. This free event connects residents with services and programs. Expect to find housing and community services, Veteran’s services, health and wellness resources and community legal services. The Partin Ranch Corn Maze (5601 N. Canoe Creek Road, Kenansville) is set to open! The dates are Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 18-19, 24-26 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wear a pink clothing item and receive $1 off admission Oct. 19. On Oct. 2526, donate one non-perishable food item and receive $1 off admission. The ever-popular trick or treat takes place on Sunday, Oct. 26. Kids in costume ages 3-12 get in free. Ages 3 and up $15.
Mark your calendars for Hometown Harvest on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Sunbridge Base Camp (6197 Cyrils Drive). This event is free and open to the public. There will be live country music, tractor pull, hayrides to Pioneer Park, pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, food trucks, photo ops and more.
The Hunter Arms Hotel (1029 New York Ave.) will host a Fall Pop-Up Market on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors are needed. St. Cloud Professional Firefighters and St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department present a Boot Drive for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Thursday, Oct. 16 and Friday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Publix, 1951 S. Narcoossee Road. Every dollar collected helps fund vital research, support families and provide care for children and adults living with neuromuscular diseases.
The community of Harmony will hold a Halloween Market on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Harmony Town Square (3500 Harmony Square Dr.) There will be a DJ, games, costume contest and trick or treating at each booth. Vendor booths include fresh produce, fall items, spices, plants, candles, jewelry, sourdough goods, crafts, body care, baked goods, clothing, dog items, nutrition, customized items, food trucks and more.
