Paige Bueckers is going to the big screen.
According to a story from Deadline, the Dallas Wings star is attched to star in the sports production Jess & Pearl. The film, which is being developed by Apple Original Films, will feature two women’s basketball phenoms that form a bond until fame and ruthless competition turn a friendship into a rivalry.
Bueckers will executive produce the movie while The White Lotus producer David Bernad will produce alongside Lindsay Kagawa Colas and Tommy Alter.
Bueckers is coming off a remarkable rookie season for the Wings, as the 2025 No. 1 pick was named WNBA Rookie of the Year and averaged 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists in her debut season.
