If you’ve been thinking about switching to a Garmin, this one is going to be a great fit for most people

There are plenty of great smartwatches to choose from in 2026, but if you’ve been looking for one with great battery life, along with excellent health and fitness tracking, going with a Garmin is going to be a good bet.
Sure, Garmin smartwatches can be expensive, but if this is your first time buying one, we recommend sticking with something from the brand’s Vivoactive or Venu series. You’ll get plenty of features, and the price is going to be much easier to afford.
With that said, the Vivoactive 5 is now on sale from Amazon, with a discount that drops the price down to $190. That’s well below the original MSRP of $300, making it the perfect time to pick one up. So, if you’ve been thinking about it, get it while you can.
The hardware is solid
For the most part, smartwatches from major brands nowadays are pretty good. You’ll get an excellent set of features, along with hardware that’s meant to monitor as much as it can, in order to give you important data points about your body throughout the day.
The Vivoactive 5 is a bit sleeker than some of Garmin’s other options, and we actually like this. It features a bright and vibrant AMOLED screen, and all the sensors you need to get an idea of how you’re moving throughout your day.
The good news is that despite its lower price, the Vivoactive 5 still gets all the data right, which puts it in the same league as higher-tier Garmin models. And the battery life is also quite good, offering up to 11 days on a single charge.
You also get notifications on the wrist, along with Garmin Pay, which can help you pay for things at compatible terminals. It’s a great option, especially at this discounted price. Get it while you can. We don’t think this price will be around for long.
