FLINT, MI — The Flint Area Chapter of the Links, Incorporated will host its annual Black Family Wellness Expo at Hamilton Community Health Network’s main clinic in Flint.
The event from 1-4 p.m. on Friday, March 20, at Hamilton, 2900 N. Saginaw St., will provide free health screenings, flu and COVID vaccinations, health insurance enrollment assistance, and Rx Kids Flint enrollment.
Attendees can also learn about medical, dental, and behavioral health services offered at Hamilton.
“We are proud to partner once again with the Flint Area Links to bring this important event to our community,” said Clarence Pierce, chief executive officer of Hamilton Community Health Network. “This expo gives families direct access to services and information that can make a real difference in their health. We look forward to welcoming everyone.”
The Flint Area Links has worked for nearly 50 years to strengthen and uplift families across Genesee County.
“Through our community work, we’ve seen that many families are not getting the regular medical care or screenings they need,” said Karen Pugh, president of the Flint Area Chapter of The Links, Inc. “By partnering with Hamilton and our community partners, we’re creating a one-stop event where people can connect to essential resources. We’ll also be offering giveaways, including gift cards, a large-screen TV, a car seat, and more for families who attend.”
Representatives from Rx Kids, Black K.A.R.E., Molina Healthcare, Meridian, Flint Registry, YWCA Greater Flint, G.H.O.S.T, Mott Community College, and Smith Fisher Real Estate Group will be on site.
