COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Hallsville school district broke ground Thursday on the second phase of a series of improvements to its facilities.
Phase one of the district’s long-term facility master plan focused on improvements to the middle school. Upcoming work will include changes to sports facilities and expanded parking for students, as well as additional security doors at the middle and high school buildings.
The facilities improvements will include a new multi-purpose baseball field, a marching band practice area and an outdoor classroom.
The work is being funded by a voter-approved bond issue.
