Black Family Wellness Expo offers free health resources

A free community health event aimed at improving the well-being of Black families will be held this weekend in Augusta.
The Black Family Wellness Expo is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the HUB for Community Innovation Augusta, located at 631 Chaffee Ave. The event is part of a national effort to reduce health disparities and expand access to health education and resources within Black communities.
The expo will focus on maternal health, mental wellness, chronic disease prevention, and overall family wellness. Attendees will have access to free health screenings, educational materials, and wellness resources, as well as opportunities to connect with local healthcare providers and community organizations.
Organizers say the event is designed to provide families with practical information and tools to support healthier lives while strengthening connections between residents and local health services.
In addition to screenings and educational resources, the expo will feature interactive activities and giveaways throughout the day.
The Black Family Wellness Expo is free and open to the public.
