‘We will miss her terribly’: Sports reporter, her 3 children and family dog found dead in house fire

(Gray News) – A well-known hockey reporter and her three children were found dead in a house fire in Minnesota, according to multiple reports.
On Saturday, firefighters responded to a house around 5:25 a.m., according to the White Bear Lake Fire Department.
After neighbors reported flames coming through the roof and said people were likely inside, officials found that the entire house was on fire.
Firefighters immediately began fighting the fire and found an adult, three children and a dog inside the house. Unfortunately, the White Bear Lake Fire Department confirmed they were dead.
The NHL confirmed the death of Jessi Pierce and her children, Hudson, Cayden, and Avery on Sunday.
“The entire National Hockey League family sends our prayers and deepest condolences to the Pierce family on the passing of Jessi Pierce and her three young children,” the league said in a statement. “Jessi loved our game and was a valued member of the NHL.com team for a decade. We will miss her terribly.”
Pierce was a contributor to NHL.com for 10 seasons and covered the Minnesota Wild.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
