Medical passed, as unveiling date set for superb Tottenham signing who’s perfect for Postecoglou

When Tottenham will unveil a new signing who fits their expectations to a tee has been revealed after a medical was passed.
A new era awaits in north London following the appointment of the forward-thinking and progressive Ange Postecoglou.
Gone will be Antonio Conte’s defensive back five formation. In its place will be a more customary 4-3-3 with the full-backs tasked with operating in a hybrid midfield role like Oleksandr Zinchenko at Arsenal and Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool.
Change is also afoot from a players perspective, with Guglielmo Vicario drafted in from Empoli to replace Hugo Lloris. Where the veteran Frenchman might move next was recently detailed by FootMercato.
James Maddison will add a much-needed creative spark in the final third. Elsewhere, Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski were signed to permanent deals following loan spells from Sporting Lisbon and Juventus respectively.
However, the arrivals won’t stop there, with Football London recently reporting Tottenham wanted a young winger who won’t break the bank.
In other words, they sought an impact player from the bench whose cost-effective arrival would allow Postecoglou to spend big on a new centre-half.
Manor Solomon is the player they turned to, with the Israel international fitting Spurs’ demands like a glove.
Indeed, Solomon is aged 23 and is allowed to join as a free agent from Shakhtar Donetsk despite his contract having six months left or run.
Furthermore, Solomon has Premier League experience through his loan stint at Fulham last season.
Players signed to assume more of a squad role can sometimes grow disgruntled at their lack of action. However, according to Solomon’s agent, that situation doesn’t sound like it’ll apply to Solomon.
Agent Ben Ezra claimed Solomon had interest from Aston Villa, West Ham and RB Leipzig. While the Leipzig approach did tempt the player, Solomon ultimately rejected all other offers in favour of joining Spurs.
That decision will have been taken in the knowledge his gametime will be restricted given the higher level of competition in the forward ranks at Spurs.
Solomon was scheduled to undergo a medical today (Monday) and per Fabrizio Romano, the procedure has been passed.
According to the transfer guru, Solomon is primed to be unveiled by Tottenham on Tuesday.
With the winger deal wrapped up, attention will now turn to signing a centre-half who’ll transform Spurs’ defence…
