After Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy Win, Dwyane Wade’s Wife Gabrielle Names Sports Event She’s Looking Forward To

We can safely declare 2025 to Kendrick Lamar. The diss track’s five-award sweep at the Grammy Awards was unprecedented, as the track broke the record for rap songs with the most Grammy wins (5). K Dot has been winning hearts, and one such household is the Wade household. Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union’s daughter Zaya got them hooked on Lamar, and the Kendrick fever has stayed on. After the Grammy victory, The Perfect Find Star is ready for the next performance from the Compton native.
“I cannot WAIT for the damn Superbowl.” Gabrielle Union added a photo of the 37-year-old artist with the crown on his head. After Grammy’s win, Kendrick Lamar will headline the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show. It’s not the first time that the Wade clan has attended concerts of the 22 Grammy Award winner. Previously, in 2023, Dwyane Wade and his daughter Zaya traveled 2039 miles for the special performance.
“Lollapalooza you owe us nothing‼️Quick trip to Chicago with my baby to see one of her favorite artist—Kendrick Lamar 🎤.” The 3x NBA Champion had no problem performing his father’s duties as they traveled to Grant Park, Chicago. Just last year, The Pop Out: Ken and Friends event was a one-of-a-kind show that saw eminent basketball personalities in attendance.

Although Gabrielle Union did not attend the show in person, she shared the screenshot of the concert on Amazon Prime as proof that she was watching. Looking at her excitement about the Super Bowl, one can speculate she would be there in person in New Orleans. Although she has been very subtle about choosing sides during the Kendrick Lamar-Drake beef, Dwyane Wade has opined on the former’s current craze.

K Dot performing at the Super Bowl is not a surprise, but his performance in Lil Wayne’s hometown divided people’s opinion. However, Dwyane Wade is firm on why Kendrick Lamar should have the moment, drawing parallels with his own NBA career. “We need to be thankful that we getting artists that we know and that is a part of our culture represented at you know one of the biggest moments in sports… and so… shoutout to Kendrick Lamar.”

Later Dwyane Wade even specified that he would’ve loved to see a Lil Wayne Halftime Show and is sure that will happen in the near future. But it’s Kendrick Lamar’s moment right now. That’s why even his wife Gabrielle Union can’t wait for the show of shows!
