The Chiefs are wrapping up 2024 on a high note after a solid win over the Steelers. Talk about another standout season as Patrick Mahomes and co. are eyeing a third straight Super Bowl title and man, there’s no stopping for the Chiefs. However, besides the remarkable season so far, Mahomes has a couple of things going on that he’s dealing with right now. And it’s not on the field.
Christmas is done for the Mahomes family, with Mahomes doing Mahomes things on the field and Brittany taking charge of the celebration. Amidst all the celebration, the QB’s mom, Randi Mahomes, has her share of health concerns in the family. A little while ago, Randi shared a story on her Instagram handle with her father who has been facing health challenges. “Asking for prayers for my father,” Randi wrote in her story.
She can be seen alongside her father, Larry Randi Martin, her smile a mix of love and strength, asking for prayers and support during this challenging time. A couple of months ago, the Mahomes family shared that Larry was hospitalized, and the family has been quietly navigating his ongoing health concerns.

The Chiefs are having a memorable year and there’s no denying it. On the other hand, the Mahomes family took a break from the Chiefs win and celebrated the holidays together. As the Chiefs already secured the no. 1 seed in the AFC, there’s still a game left for the reigning champions in the season. Well, given his early ankle sprain and what’s next is post-season, there’s a high chance that the star QB will not play. However, Mahomes is all set to face the Broncos, unless he’s told to sit, of course. “That’s completely up to coach, I’ll prepare regardless either way,” he declared when asked his thoughts on the same.
