Magic-Cavaliers pick
The Cleveland Cavaliers look to take a 2-0 lead when they host the Orlando Magic on Monday in the second game of their playoff series.
BetMGM is favoring Cleveland by 5.5 points. After what we saw in Game 1, that line seems pretty reasonable.
You could see the gap in playoff experience between these teams in the first game of the series. The Cavaliers leaned on their defense to maintain a solid lead throughout the game and held the Magic to 32.6% shooting. Orlando’s guards really struggled, as Markelle Fultz, Gary Harris and Cole Anthony each failed to make one field goal.
Meanwhile, Donovan Mitchell was the ultimate difference-maker for Cleveland and led all scorers with 30 points in Game 1. The Cavaliers and Magic can basically match each other in the length and interior defense, but Cleveland’s guard play with Mitchell and Darius Garland is much better than Orlando’s backcourt.
