Canopy Growth Corp. (NASDAQ:CGC) said it has received EU GMP certification for its cannabis cultivation facility in Ontario, Canada, which will allow it to continue to exporting certified medical cannabis to Europe and other global markets.
The company said the certification was the final step to consolidating its production footprint into two sites. Canopy currently services medical cannabis markets in Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Australia, New Zealand and other markets in the Asia-Pacific region.
Shares of Canopy were up 6% in midday trading.
