HomeFitnessClassPass Shares 2025’s Most Popular Fitness Trends

ClassPass Shares 2025’s Most Popular Fitness Trends

Nearly 40 percent of regular exercisers participate in group fitness classes, and ClassPass has become a popular option for anyone who likes to switch up their workout routine. The platform, which makes it easy to try everything from kickboxing to HIIT without committing to a studio’s pricey membership, recently dropped its 2025 Look Back Report. Covering reservation data from January 1 through October 10, the results show that people are prioritizing their health more than ever, with global fitness bookings up 36 percent compared to 2024.
One of the biggest perks of ClassPass is variety. According to the report, the most popular exercise formats worldwide were:
Pilates
Running
Yoga
Strength training
Cycling
Barre
Gym Time
Boxing
Dance
Low-impact training
For the third year, Pilates dominates as the most booked workout worldwide with a 66 percent jump in bookings. Yoga, strength training, and cycling also maintained strong followings, proving that the classics never go out of style.
This year, ClassPass also saw major growth in more unconventional fitness formats. Sports recovery sessions increased 155 percent, low-impact training doubled, racquet sports jumped 111 percent, and parkour saw a 92 percent increase. Such trends suggest people are gravitating towards fun and functional workouts that may challenge them in unknown ways.
Workout timing matters, and the report revealed some interesting patterns. Tuesday was the most popular day to work out, while March was the most active month of the year. Alas, even the most dedicated exercisers need breaks. Early mornings and post-work classes saw the most cancellations and no-shows. Sundays remain the least popular day to book a workout.
Other top days for cancellations and no-shows included:
January 1, New Year’s Day
March 9, Daylight Saving Time (North America)
February 10, the Day after the Super Bowl
The new year is expected to bring even more diversity in workouts, smarter recovery strategies, and a continued focus on balancing intensity with exercise enjoyment. What new workout will you try in 2026?
