SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) – For the eighth year in a row, the Summerville Medical Center has gotten into the holiday spirit by helping families celebrate their NICU babies’ first Christmas.
Infants in the hospital’s new Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit were dressed up in handmade Christmas sweaters, each of which is designed and crafted by the nurses. Every year, the nurses spend over 40 hours making these costumes.
Nurses carefully assisted the infants with their first photoshoot and ensured strict adherence to safety and infection prevention procedures.
