Gibson City, Ill. (WCIA)– If you or someone you know has diabetes, Gibson Area Hospital and Health Services can help. They have programs available that offer support to both patients and care givers. Eileen Woolums has been working in diabetes care for the last twenty year. Then, when her grandson Elliott Walter was two years old, he was diagnosed with diabetes. There are two different types of diabetes, type 1 and type 2 and support is available for both types. Even though Woolums has worked in diabetes care for so long, when her grandson was diagnosed she said that it was still a learning process for the whole family.
