EA Sports Patch Notes: Latest Update Addresses Nagging Online Issue

Highlights:
Update rolling out for FC 26.
Patch improves online stability and performance.
Temporary workaround available under Graphics settings.
If you’ve been rage-quitting matches because your PC disconnected before you could even celebrate a goal, EA might have just heard your cries.
EA SPORTS FC Direct has confirmed that a new FC 26 update (v1.1.2) will be released soon to fix a PC-specific disconnect issue that’s been affecting online matches.
The patch targets a technical fault causing random connection drops for some players on PC. While the update rolls out, EA recommends a temporary workaround — adjusting Crowd Quality under Graphics settings to Medium, then restarting the game to apply the change. It’s a short-term fix until the patch fully deploys across regions.
This marks EA’s latest step in stabilizing FC 26’s online performance following a series of gameplay-focused patches earlier this month.
Just last week, EA rolled out Patch v1.1.0 — a major gameplay overhaul that reshaped defending, tackling, and overall realism across FC 26. The update fine-tuned Jockey responsiveness, improved AI positioning, and rebalanced passing to better reflect user intent. Corner defense and goalkeeper reactions also saw long-awaited improvements, helping tighten the game’s defensive rhythm.
Career Mode and Ultimate Team benefited too, with smarter CPU logic, smoother ball control, and several quality-of-life menu tweaks that made squad management feel less tedious.
Together, these refinements made FC 26’s gameplay noticeably sharper and more grounded. This week’s v1.1.2 patch builds on that momentum, focusing on technical stability and ensuring PC players can stay connected without disruption
