EVERETT — EvergreenHealth Monroe announced the appointment of a new chief medical and quality officer Monday.
Dr. Scott Stuart will oversee clinical operations, including enhancing patient safety and quality of care and planning for future growth strategies, the organization said in a press release. Stuart’s new position took effect Sunday.
“We are greatly looking forward to having Dr. Stuart join our team here in Monroe,” said Lisa LaPlante, chief administrative officer at EvergreenHealth Monroe. “His leadership and track record of providing high-quality patient-centered care will elevate our practice and ensure our community continues to have access to the highest level of care close to home.”
In 2005, Stuart first joined the company as a hospitalist at EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland. Over the past 20 years, he has helped lead multiple hospital programs, cared for patients, consulted on surgery and worked closely with hospice care. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency and chief residency in internal medicine.
“I’m honored to start this new role with EvergreenHealth Monroe,” Stuart said. “Since joining EvergreenHealth 20 years ago, I have seen the positive impact that community-based, patient-centered care has on our community, and I am eager to continue that mission with our team in Monroe.”
