Forbes list: Dallas Cowboys become first team to surpass $10 billion valuation

Business, as usual, remains booming for the Dallas Cowboys organization.
In the annual list released by Forbes of the most valuable teams in sports, the Cowboys on Thursday became the first franchise to surpass the 11-figure threshold with an estimated $10.1 billion valuation, more than $1 billion away from its closest competition.
This is the ninth straight year the Cowboys have topped the Forbes list.
The NFL jam-packed the list with 29 franchises making the cut, 58% of the top 50. The group collectively is worth $289 billion, with the Los Angeles Rams ($7.6 billion, No. 3 overall) coming the closest to reaching the heights of the Cowboys.

The Dallas Mavericks also landed in the top 50, coming in at No. 42 with a $4.7 billion valuation as the organization shifted its majority ownership from Mark Cuban to the Adelson family.
A dozen NBA franchises made the ranking, doubling the six from last year’s list.
