Framingham police have placed two officers on paid administrative leave while the department internally investigates misconduct allegations against the officers, Framingham police announced Tuesday.
The allegations were “recently brought to the attention of the command staff,” and “involve potential health and wellness concerns,” according to a statement from the police department.
“While no criminal charges have been filed at this time, the Department acknowledges that an internal review may reveal conduct that requires further action, including referral for criminal investigation, if appropriate,” the statement reads.
Framingham police declined to comment further on the matter on Tuesday, citing the fact that it is a personnel matter that is still under investigation.
“The Department is approaching the matter with the seriousness it deserves,” the statement reads.
