Holistic nutritionist reveals free, life-changing wellness hack

A holistic nutritionist shared her “ultimate wellness hack” that changed her life — and it’s super simple.
Rebecca Leigh Sejzer, the founder of the self-improvement platform Within You, shares health and wellness advice with her 189,500 followers on TikTok and recently let her followers in on her tip to have better days.
Sejzer, 25, said that the simple tip has helped her “significantly” with her anxiety, focus and her days in general since it allows her to start her days off on a better foot.
She added that the hack is free and can be started as soon as possible.
The LA-based holistic nutritionist explained that once you’re ready to go to sleep, put your phone on airplane mode. Then when you wake up in the morning, don’t turn off airplane mode for at least the first 30 minutes of the day.
“I like to meditate, journal, go outside, journal, etc. during those first 30 minutes,” Sejzer wrote in a caption on the video which has amassed 131,000 views and nearly 5,000 likes.
She points out that since the phone is on airplane mode, there’s no temptation to check notifications since there will be none to look at.
“I am not kidding you guys, you will have a significantly different day than if you start looking at your phone first thing in the morning,” Sezjer said. “It has changed my life.”

She admitted she doesn’t always practice the method — but it makes for a rough day when she doesn’t.

Commenters agreed that this practice made their day much better.

“Putting my phone on DND literally has changed my sleep cycle I wake up so much refreshed,” someone shared.
“I’ve been doing this for the past few years and it’s revolutionized my day and setting my intentions,” another said.
“Yes!!! I love airplane mode Time. I also do airplane mode work blocks in the week — highly recommend,” one person advised.

Other people said they could never do this habit in case of emergency.
“I would love to do this, but just scared that there will be an emergency one night and I won’t receive the call,” one shared.
“The anxiety this would give me hahaha,” another commented.

“I have too much anxiety about someone having an emergency for this,” someone agreed.
“I have had a loved one pass away in the middle if the night. & have children. I could never do this,” one person said.
Sejzer’s video went viral on the platform amid new research released by Common Sense Media found that on a typical day, nearly half of 11- to 17-year-olds receive at least 237 notifications on their phones — and in some cases, they get up to 5,000 in a 24-hour period.
