Inside Eva Longoria’s wellness routine as she approaches turning 50

Eva Longoria isn’t “scared of aging,” but she would prefer to “age well.”
In her cover story for Marie Claire published Wednesday, the 49-year-old actress revealed she is preparing to turn 50 the way “some people train for extreme sports.”
The “Desperate Housewives” alum — who uses red light therapy like Halle Berry — implements cold-plunging into her routine.
She also wakes up with the sunrise to benefit her internal clock and stays fit by strength training with weights.

Her routine also includes spiritual and mental health practices such as journaling, meditation and grounding work.

The mother of one confessed she’s actually looking forward to turning 50, saying women like Gwyneth Paltrow, 52, and Jennifer Lopez, 55, are a “beacon” for her.
“For me, age is just a number, but I’m excited,” Longoria said. “I refuse to believe my greatest success is behind me.”
In a video also shared by the magazine on Wednesday, Longoria said she’s interested in “bio hacks” to make her “last longer” in the world.
“I just want to age well,” she explained. “I want to be able to climb upstairs, I want to be able to get up and down, I want to play with my kids and so I’m all about bio hacks that will make me last longer.”

The “Land of Women” star then gushed over actress Jane Fonda, 86, who is a “role model” in “embracing the third act” of her life.
Longoria even admitted to having a “full head of gray” hair, saying that coloring her brunette tresses is a part of her wellness routine.
“Every time I touch up my hair color I feel like a new woman,” she said. “There’s something about changing your hair color that changes everything about you.”

In order to feel her best, Longoria will also treat herself to a fresh blowout or add a bold red lip to her glam routine.
When it comes to aging in Hollywood, the actress said she admires other ladies in the industry who are approaching the matter with grace.
“There’s a lot of women I look up to who are doing it well,” she said.
