The Massachusetts Gaming Commission issued a new warning Thursday, telling its seven licensed sports betting companies in a letter to steer clear of prediction markets.
The state says that sports betting in Massachusetts can only be offered through licensed sportsbooks, and that any operator who tries to offer sports-related bets on a prediction market could risk fines, penalties or even the loss of their license.
