A 38-year-old man was identified as the person who died last week when he was hit by a vehicle in northeast Dallas.
Michael Damian Herrera died on March 17 at 9:17 p.m., according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.
Officers found Herrera injured around 9:07 p.m. while responding to a major accident in the 6300 block of East Northwest Highway, according to a previous statement from Dallas police.
Police determined Herrera has been struck by a vehicle.

Officers found the vehicle that hit Herrera in a nearby parking lot, according to the statement. The driver of the vehicle was also found and taken into custody.
Police said the driver’s name will be released when they are officially booked into jail.
