BARNEGAT, NJ — A Barnegat resident is taking time to thank Barnegat officials for their help after experiencing a medical emergency.
“At approximately 9pm on June 3rd, I collapsed due to my body temperature spiking to a dangerous 105.2 degrees. Wisely, my wife called 911. A paramedic crew arrived within minutes due, no doubt, to Barnegat’s vigilance in making sure emergency services are available 24/7. I credit the township committee and the sterling leadership of Barnegat EMS President James Goldstein. I am pleased to thank Almighty God for my swift recovery.
That said, I write to commend Barnegat Township Police Officer Joe Duncan who also came to my home. The comfort and reassurance Officer Duncan lent to my distraught wife was outstanding. It illustrated the essence of the men and women who bravely dedicate themselves to helping others. I have already written to Barnegat Police Chief Jason Carrol asking him to formally recognize Officer Duncan. I will also rise to my feet at this Thursday’s Barnegat Township Committee meeting to put this onto the official record.
God Bless our Police Officers and keep them safe.
