A stage is set up in Universal CityWalk Orlando for an NBC Sports “Football Night in America” live broadcast this weekend that will feature an Epic Universe sneak peek.
NBC Sports Hot Set
The set is at the CityWalk Plaza Stage between Vivo Italian Kitchen and the Epic Universe Preview Center. A “Hot Set” sign was up behind temporary barriers as crews set up the stage and decorations.
Universal posted details in the Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Facebook group. They wrote, “NBC Sports’ Football Night in America is doing a live broadcast from Universal CityWalk on Saturday, December 21 and we’re inviting Passholders to be part of the audience!
Head to the CityWalk Plaza Stage as the show kicks off at noon — audience access is based on a first-come, first-served basis.”
Wraps around the stage’s scaffolding set feature the Peacock and NFL logos, as well as the words “Holiday Special.”
We also saw references to the Houston Texans. They will be facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Maria Taylor will host the “Football Night in America” special live from CityWalk alongside Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, three-time Super Bowl champion Devin McCourty, and former NFL quarterback Chris Simms. NBC said in a press release about the broadcast that NBC and Peacock viewers will get an “exclusive look” at Epic Universe.
