EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A new option for health care is now open in downtown Eau Claire.
NorthLakes Community Clinic added a location with a grand opening for its Eau Claire expansion this morning. The expansion is located at 1002 West Clairemont Ave and started offering health care services in May.
NorthLakes Community Clinic offers medical, dental, behavioral health and recovery services, and will be adding chiropractic care next month.
A representative for NorthLakes said the clinic is the first federally-qualified health center in the Chippewa Valley, meaning it will take care of underserved groups who may be on Medicare, Medicaid or have no insurance at all.
This new facility will let them expand their care in the area.
“Yes, it’s a huge gap here in the Chippewa Valley. We haven’t had a community health center before NorthLakes came, and so we’re really proud to be filling that need for the community. There’s been a lot of inequities here, and folks who haven’t been able to get in to see primary care, and we’re really pleased to be filling that gap,” said Reba Rice, CEO of Northlakes Community Clinic.
NorthLakes Community Clinic also has a location at Hastings Way that has been offering dental services since August of 2022, according to the system’s website.
