New women’s health center breaks ground in Camden

CAMDEN, S.C. — Access to women’s healthcare in Kershaw County is set to improve as construction has begun on a new state-of-the-art facility.
The MUSC Health Camden Pavilion, a 14,000-square-foot women’s health center, broke ground on Thursday morning and is slated for completion by the spring of 2025.
“Here with the largest construction project to date for M US C Health in the Midlands. We’re excited about it,” said Dr. Tallulah Holmstrom, Chief Medical Officer for MUSC Health Kershaw.
The center, located at the corner of Battleship Road and DeKalb Street in Camden, will offer obstetrics, gynecology, and advanced imaging services, including 3D mammograms and ultrasounds.
“This is going to give us the physical space where we can treat our women throughout the county. It will also give us not just the space but it will give us the providers, the physicians, the nurse practitioners, and the equipment to give easy access to state-of-the-art screening care for women of all ages.,
