A person died after having a medical emergency near the front entrance of Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday evening, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.
The park’s deputies were alerted of the medical call for service around 5 p.m., according to Sgt. Ryan Elsee.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the call at 4:45 p.m. and arrived on the scene at 4:51 p.m., according to Capt. David Dantic with the Fire Department.
Dantic added that the call was about a cardiac arrest.
Firefighters cleared the scene at 5:34 p.m., Dantic said.
“We were saddened to learn of a medical event that occurred at the front entrance of the park yesterday evening involving a guest. Our safety team responded immediately to provide aid, with local authorities arriving in minutes to render additional support. Our thoughts are with the guest and their family,” according to an email statement sent on behalf of the park by Sara Gorgon, Six Flags’ public information officer.
There is no additional information at the time of this publication, according to Elsee.
