Rabid fox ‘attached’ itself to north Georgia woman’s leg, wouldn’t let go

A fox that jumped on a woman outside a retirement facility on Oct. 9 in north Georgia was determined to be rabid, according to the Northeast Health District in Athens.
The health district reported recently that the fox was located on Manor Lake Circle in Hoschton in Jackson County, an area with heavy commercial and residential development off Georgia Highway 124. The location is less than 2 miles from Jackson County High School.
