TUESDAY
Girls Soccer
Sarasota Christian 2, Cambridge Christian 1: The Blazers improved to 3-0, it’s best start to the season in over 10 years. Both goals were scored by Reagan Volkert, her third and fourth of the season. The first goal was assisted by captain Gabriela DaSilva who put Volkert on a breakaway. The Blazers went up 2-0 when Brooklyn Mruczek sent a shot in on goal which was put away by Volkert.
Boys Soccer
Sarasota Christian 4, Cambridge Christian 1: The Blazers avenged last season’s 7–0 loss to Cambridge Christian. Jack Campbell led the Blazers with two goals and two assists, while Cristian Sadelson and Adrian Sadelson each added a goal apiece.
Girls Basketball
Sarasota Christian 44, Southwest Florida Christian 39: The back-and-forth contest saw many lead changes in the first half before the Blazers took control of the game late in the second quarter. The Blazers were led by Brenda Bresciani’s 16 points, Octavia Stoller with 10 points, Grace Gallo with 10 points, including three 3-pointers, and Nikki Olupitan’s 6 points.
Boys Basketball
Sarasota Christian 71, Sarasota Military Academy 24: The Blazers were led by Drew Sirianni (17 points), Ben Milliken (16), Justin Brock (12), and Cale Zeltwanger (10).
Class 2A Girls Golf
Braden River’s Taryn Nguyen shot a two-day total of 152 to place tied for 17th at Mission Inn Resort.
MONDAY
Boys Basketball
Cardinal Mooney 62, Bell Creek 59: Mooney was led by Kaiden Wright’s 20 points. Jamaal George added 11 and Elijah Price 12.
Riverview 70, Southeast 52: Josh Harris scored 35 and became the 13th Ram to reach 1,000 career points. Carter Evans added 20.
