Shakib Al Hasan Provides Huge Update On His And Taskin Ahmed’s Fitness

Bangladesh National Cricket Team captain Shakib Al Hasan has provided a massive update on his and pacer Taskin Ahmed’s fitness ahead of the crucial matches in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
The Bangla Tigers are all set to lock horns with the South Africa National Cricket Team in the 23rd match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on Tuesday, October 24 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Bangladesh have multiple injury issues in their camp as skipper Shakib and premier pacer Taskin have faced some concerns. Both Shakib and Taskin didn’t feature in the match against India and Najmul Hossain Shanto took over the leadership role.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Shakib Al Hasan said that his participation in the match against Proteas depends on Monday’s training session.
“I felt nothing at all when I trained yesterday and, hopefully, I’ll be able to get through today’s training session also without any pain. I was upset after missing a World Cup match for the first time. No player wants to miss out. I was heartbroken after not being able to play,” Shakib, who is taking part in his fifth ODI World Cup, was quoted as saying in the pre-match press conference.
