CRESTWOOD, IL — Bring a friend, sip, shop and browse this Sunday, Feb. 18, at the Crestwood Art Council’s Fine Arts Fair. The FREE exhibit runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crestwood Recreation and Wellness Center, 5331 W. 135th St., Crestwood.
Over 30 artists will be showcasing their work across multiple mediums, including watercolors, oils, acrylics, pencil, photography, jewelry, pottery and more. Local author Samantha Clohessy, the wife of a firefighter, will also be joining the fair. Clohessy wrote her first children’s book “My Dad Is A Fireman,” and will have copies of her book at the fair. The book is also available on Etsy. Crestwood residents can pick up their property tax rebates. Government ID and proof of residency required.
Tribute artist Jerry Armstrong, whose repertoire includes Elvis, the Rat Pack and classic country, will provide the live entertainment. Wine and cheese, and free Starbucks coffee will be available for patrons. In addition to art, check to see if you have any unclaimed property with the Illinois State Treasurer’s ICash program. You can also turn in unused and old medications to the Cook County Sheriff’s Drug Take-Back program. The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District will be distributing seeds to take home and raffling off a rain barrel.
