Rochester is about to get a whole lot steamier this winter, and for once, that’s a good thing. Tucked inside the latest Rochester Park Board agenda was something beyond delightful: mobile saunas are officially setting up shop at a park near you!
Not “maybe.”
Not “pending approval.”
This. Is. Happening.
The saunas will be operated by Sauna Life, a local company run by Jim and Terri Pitcher – two people who said, “You know what this town needs? A warm place to feel our faces again.” Honestly, bless them!
Keep your Tuesdays open, because that’s the day you’ll be able to reserve your sauna sessions! The owners said there could be some added days based on demand or private requests. And don’t worry – this isn’t some exclusive, members-only situation. Part of the permit requires the saunas to be open for anyone to reserve.
New Public Saunas Will Open in Rochester This December:
They will be up and running December 16th at Soldiers Field and stay open through March of 2026.
