Evan Holyfield, son of the legendary boxer Evander Holyfield, has been following the footsteps of his old man and only just received the first defeat of his career last year. Though he made a good return and since then he has achieved two victories this year and one via TKO at the first round as well. However, a rather unfortunate situation has arisen as the young talent is experiencing a health complication. This news recently surfaced on Instagram surprising all who read it.

Recently Holyfields’ mother Toi Irvin uploaded a post on Facebook that stated that on August 4th while preparing for a fight he started “vomiting and experienced shortness of breath and pain in his chest.” After, over a month, the doctors found out that “he has a heart condition that requires open heart surgery”. She shared her grief that her child never had any such serious illnesses previously. She asked the fans reading to pray for the boxer and also revealed that the surgery will be done on September 21.
Even Evander Holyfield shared the post on his Instagram story, moreover, the post also shared the link to the GoFundMe page. So far a lot of fans have come out to help the family.
