Pat McAfee’s Huge Josh Allen Claim May Upset Injured Patrick Mahomes Despite Setting All-Time Record

Who is the best QB of the 2024-25 NFL season? That one is difficult to answer. Is it, Lamar Jackson or Jared Goff? The Ravens QB’s recent 5 touchdowns against the Giants have got everyone in the NFL talking about him. But when it comes to a debate on who’s the best QB, people are much invested in the Patrick Mahomes vs Josh Allen face-off. And maybe that’s because every time the two QBs step onto the field, they’re both out there with one goal, to win.
The Patrick Mahomes vs. Josh Allen debate has been going on for a while, with the NFL world split on who is the best quarterback. Chiefs fans defend Mahomes, while others point to Allen’s victory over Mahomes and the Chiefs. Amid this, ESPN’s star sports analyst Pat McAfee has weighed in and picked Josh Allen as the best QB in the league right now. “Josh Allen is the GREATEST football player on earth right now.. NO QUESTIONS ASKED “, said McAfee during the Pat McAfee show.

“Everything he’s doing is awesome and he is not turning the ball over. This was always the potential Josh Allen that we thought could be. He can throw the ball forever. Has an absolute hose of an arm”, added Pat as he continued to praise the Bills QB. And honestly, he rightly deserves so. The QB has scored 25 TDs while racking up 3,395 yards in fourteen games so far. And the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, 22 TDs to his name, while rushing for 3,348 yards.
The Bills star is at the top ruling the ‘total quarterback rating’ table with a 79.4. While Mahomes lingers at 11th place with a 64.3 rating. Well, it looks like there is certainly some truth to what McAfee said. And there is quite a possibility that the analyst’s words could ruffle some feathers with Patrick Mahomes, especially since he just hit another milestone in his career.

Patrick Mahomes added another achievement to his list.
The Chiefs’ QB’s recent injury has been a hot topic on social media. After Patrick Mahomes walked off the field in the fourth quarter of the game against the Browns, fans had plenty to say. But before leaving, he made sure to add another milestone to his career, as he became the QB with the most touchdowns before turning 30. The Kansas City Chiefs shared the news on their official X account, “..and he’s got time to build on his lead.” The 29-year-old now has a total of 254 touchdowns to his name. Now with this achievement, Pat’s words might sting the Chiefs’ QB.
Josh Allen’s fans are not coming slow on this one. “Don’t worry Josh will take that one too”, writes a fan under the post. While Mahomes hit another milestone, the Chiefs were in big trouble after he hurt his right ankle during the game. The NFL world went into a frenzy over his injury, with everyone chiming in. Reports say it’s just a mild ankle sprain that should heal in about a week. Hopefully, that’s the case, as the Chiefs have two games coming up in the next 10 days. Without Mahomes, the team could be in serious trouble.
