Transfer news LIVE: Mathys Tel latest; Agreed Liverpool switch; Duran completes Saudi medical

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Patients at Lexington Medical Center (LMC) who are insured by Aetna will no longer have to change their plans.
After uncertainty in December over whether Aetna would continue to consider LMC and its affiliates as in-network, the medical center announced Tuesday the two have reached an agreement to continue coverage without interruption.
LMC and Aetna’s decision comes days before Feb. 1 when their partnership’s dissolution would have gone into effect. If they had not reached an agreement, Aetna-insured patients would have had to pay higher out-of-pocket costs.
“We are pleased to have reached an agreement that puts our patients and members first and look forward to continuing to collaborate to support their care,” a spokesperson for LMC said.
The agreement is set to last several years.
