ClassPass Offers Virtual Workouts That Are As Varied As Its In-Person Offerings

ClassPass: The basics
ClassPass is an app for which you pay a monthly subscription to unlock credits. The credits can be redeemed for classes at fitness studios and gyms or even salon and spa services, depending on the level of membership you choose. My membership is a lower tier, so I pay $89 per month for 43 credits, which can roll over to the next month. (Other tiers offer eight credits for $19 per month, 26 for $55, 80 for $159, 100 for $199, and 150 for $299.) The number of credits each class costs you depends on the studio or gym itself, plus what class it is. The same class at one studio might cost a different amount of credits on Friday at 6:30 a.m. than it does at 7:30 a.m. For me, someone who endeavors to take Pilates and hot yoga classes in a busy neighborhood in Manhattan, it’s usually between eight and 17 credits per class, which is about $16 to $34—still much less than if I were to buy a pass on-site.
