One of the city’s other beloved sports entities, the Maple Leafs, are moving Monday’s home game from 4 p.m. to 2 p.m. so fans don’t miss Game 2 of the American League Championship Series.
The time for that game will be either 4:38 or 5:08 depending on the outcome of Cubs-Brewers NLDS Game 5, but fans won’t have to choose between their favorite teams because the Blue Jays’ home game will be shown on the video board at Scotiabank Arena after hockey wraps up.
It’s a formula that has already worked once this postseason. The end of the Blue Jays’ series-clinching win over the Yankees in the Bronx was shown at Scotiabank on Wednesday, with many fans sticking around to celebrate.
