This year, one new hotel was honored and the top-awarded hotel received a special designation.
Tucson’s Canyon Ranch, Arizona’s only hotel to receive the guide’s highest Three Key honor, was named the best wellness resort in the Americas.
One new Arizona hotel joined the seven honorees from last year to earn Michelin Key recognition: The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain in Marana, located about 22 miles from Tucson.

Canyon Ranch was named one of world’s best wellness hotels
Canyon Ranch was selected as one of five nominees and the only one in the U.S. for the Michelin Wellness Award, which honors the best wellness hotel in the world. The world’s best was Bürgenstock Resort in Switzerland; the other nominees were Joali Being in the Maldives, Lily of the Valley in France and The Retreat at Blue Lagoon in Iceland.
Canyon Ranch CEO Mark Rivers told The Arizona Republic that his team is both humbled and motivated by the Michelin recognition. He credits the resort’s wellness experts and the guidance they provide.
