Two new physicians — a husband-and-wife team — have joined Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods.
Dr. Nina Talmor, a cardiologist, and Dr. Guy Talmor, an ear, nose and throat specialist, joined the Santa Rosa facility earlier this month, according to Sutter.
Nina Talmor cares for a variety of patient cardiology conditions, including hypertension, coronary disease, valvular disease, heart failure and heart rhythm issues, according to the announcement.
Guy Talmor treats adults and pediatric ENT conditions, including endoscopic sinus surgery, reconstructive nasal surgery, skin cancer defect reconstruction, head and neck tumor resection and more, the release stated.
“We are incredibly excited to join Sutter Medical Group of the Redwoods and be a part of the Santa Rosa community,” Nina Talmor said in the news release. “It’s been our goal to practice medicine together in the same organization since we were students, and we look forward to caring for patients in Sonoma County.”
The couple met in 2015 on their first day of medical school at the University of Southern California. After graduation, they moved to the East Coast for clinical training, according to Nina Talmor.
“As Bay Area natives, we wished to return home to Northern California as we start our family,” she said.
Nina Talmor completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where she conducted research and published on inflammation, cardiac interventions, and coronary artery disease.
