Markkanen fell, and continued staying on the ground for an extended period. Despite having been hurt too, Wemby went up to check on his rival before walking away. Lauri Markkanen faced the brunt of the collision, and had to be taken back to the locker room. The official X account of Utah Jazz confirmed that the 27-year-old small forward/power forward has sustained a left knee contusion, and wasn’t going to return during the game’s remaining minutes.
